Michael L. F. Slavin – President

Mr. Slavin has over 30 years of management experience. During his 10 years of service in the United States Army, he served as an infantry officer and later as an aviation officer with a secondary specialty in Operations Research and Systems Analysis. Other positions Mr. Slavin has held include the following: staff member of the Department of the Army, commander of two aviation units, general’s aide, and aide to the President of the United States during his visit to South Korea. He also has a commercial pilot’s license in both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Mr. Slavin has served as Vice President of Sweeney & Tebo Interests, CEO/President of First Title of Houston, President of Emerald Holding Company (an investment banking firm), and Executive Vice President of an independent oil company.

Mr. Slavin founded U.S. Emerald Energy in 1992 and has been involved in all aspects of oil and gas exploration, from prospecting to leasing, drilling, and production. U. S. Emerald seeks the safest projects available industry-wide, pursuing only developmental wells. Mr. Slavin is also the President of Bulldog Exploration, L.P., which develops projects from the ground floor with a higher risk profile.

Mr. Slavin graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, in 1975 with a B.S. in Engineering. His further education includes graduate study in Operations Research and Systems Analysis and an M.S. in Management in 1984 from Troy State University.

H. Wilson Williams JR – Senior Geologist

Mr. Williams has more than 22 years of diversified experience in exploration, exploitation, and production geology. This includes extensive experience in generating and screening prospects, primarily in the Gulf Coast areas of Louisiana and Texas. He has initiated and executed coverage of prospects from conception through completion, production, and abandonment. His experience also includes AFE preparation, contract negotiation, and most phases of land work. He has also worked several contracts in the San Juan Basin and Kansas, and has international data management experience. He has worked at Placid Oil Company, Supron Energy, Buttes Resources Corporation, Nucorp Energy and the A. T. Fuller Company. He graduated in 1974 with a B.S. in Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
